Dachsunds are popular with apartment and urban dwellers. They are playful dogs, but can also display stubborness, due to their
being hunting dogs; thus they are hard to train. They will chase, with ferociousness, birds, small animals and even tennis balls.
In addition, they rate higher in aggresiveness towards strangers and other dogs, and are not the best breed for interacting
with childern. Additionally, they have a loud bark, with some individuals needing training to stop excessive barking.
They will whine if left alone, and can develop separation anxiety if left alone too much and develop the destructive habit of
chewing. They can be difficult to housebreak. However, dachsunds are clever and loyal to their owners.
